Software engineer

I build and maintain the infrastructure that industrial software runs on — cloud migrations, database work, and the deployment plumbing that keeps an IoT platform serving data to the people who depend on it.

My background is materials science, which turns out to be good training for software: both are the practice of taking something messy and continuous and finding the model that makes it tractable.
